BA (Hons) in Media & Public Relations

For three years, I studied Media & Pubic Relations in IT Carlow and graduated with a Second Class Honours Grade 2. Modules studied: Advanced Media Theory & Practice; Advanced Public Relations; Contemporary Irish Film & Literature; Design Process & Terminology; Sociology of the Media; Dissertation

Various Customer Service Roles

During this period, I was working in call centers mostly, which allowed me to enhance my soft skills. In the latter stages of this period, I was providing Level 1 Technical Support on behalf of numerous broadband companies across Ireland, and this was the catalyst which prompted me to pursue a career in the software industry

Higher Diploma in Software Development

Three years after graduating with my undergraduate degree, I went back to college to do a Higher Diploma in Software Development at the University of Limerick. The course was a one-year conversion course designed for graduates looking to gain employment in the software industry, and I graduated with a Second Class Honours Grade 2. Modules studied:

Sat the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals AZ-900 exam and passed at the first attempt. This was the initial step in my goal of ultimately becoming a certified Azure DevOps Engineer

Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer

Sat the Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure AZ-204 exam and passed at the first attempt. This was the next step in my goal of ultimately becoming a certified Azure DevOps Engineer meaning I now only need to pass the Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions AZ-400 exam to achieve this.
