During this period, I was working in call centers mostly, which allowed me to enhance my soft skills. In the latter stages of this period, I was providing Level 1 Technical Support on behalf of numerous broadband companies across Ireland, and this was the catalyst which prompted me to pursue a career in the software industry
Three years after graduating with my undergraduate degree, I went back to college to do a Higher Diploma in Software Development at the University of Limerick. The course was a one-year conversion course designed for graduates looking to gain employment in the software industry, and I graduated with a Second Class Honours Grade 2. Modules studied:

My role required regular usage of Oracle Database, and I was grateful for the opportunity to learn a technology I was not overly familiar with before taking the role

To improve my skillset, I chose to go back to college once again to do a Postgraduate Diploma in Science in Cloud Computing offered by the National College of Ireland. Combining academia with a full-time job was challenging at times, but the work I put in paid off as I ultimately graduated with a Distinction, and I was also placed on National College of Ireland's Dean's Honour list for the academic year 2019/2020. Sat the Microsoft Azure Fundamentals AZ-900 exam and passed at the first attempt. This was the initial step in my goal of ultimately becoming a certified Azure DevOps Engineer
Sat the Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure AZ-204 exam and passed at the first attempt. This was the next step in my goal of ultimately becoming a certified Azure DevOps Engineer meaning I now only need to pass the Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions AZ-400 exam to achieve this.
